In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also introduces the game's latest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
